Adjective Resources for 1st Graders
In this post, I’m sharing Adjective Resources I created for 1st Grade students, and a Freebie!
When I made all these sheets, I wanted to give 1st Grade teachers a variety of practice sheets to use throughout the whole year! You know as well as I do, that young students grow quite quickly in the span of a year. Work that was just right in the beginning of the year becomes way too easy after a few months.
So I wanted easier worksheets that I could use in the beginning of the year to introduce the concept, and more rigorous ones that integrated reading and writing as the kids got older.
I also wanted to have extra activities that teachers could place in a Sub Binder, and games that students could use in a Literacy Center. The activities would be easier at first, then I’d increase the level of difficulty.

WHAT IT COMES WITH
This Adjective Packet consists of practice worksheets for adjectives, a Literacy Center, and Editable Templates. All activities target the Common Core standards for Adjectives in First Grade.
The activities include: cut and paste, fill in the blanks, multiple choice, color, and write sentences. Because of the variety of sheets, you can use them when you review these standards many times throughout the year.
My Literacy Center includes an Adjective Mat where students place cards that have adjectives, 4 different sets of sorting cards, and an Adjective Sheet where they write the sorted adjectives and write sentences with them. The cards for the sorting activity need to be laminated and cut.
